About GCS Solutions
Golfing at four years old and working on a Par 3 golf course in Northeastern Ohio at age 15, was when I knew I was hooked for life in golf. In a very real sense Golf Course Superintendent Solutions has been 38 years in the making since that first swing. While completing my Bachelor's degree at Arizona State University in Agribusiness, golf facilities management, I intentionally worked for influential superintendents to diversify my experience. Combining my obsession with problem solving and math with agronomy has been a natural fit.
Along my journey in golf I have worked at resort, public, and private golf courses. I have had to problem solve within a variety of budgets. My latest chapter in golf was over 16 years as Superintendent at Chaparral Pines and The Rim Club in Payson, Arizona. There was never a shortage of solutions needed at these clubs.
Labor has always been a limiting factor in golf. My career at Chaparral and The Rim over the 16 years involved a 60% decrease in labor with a continual increase in expectations. All of these life passions and experiences is why GCS Solutions is designed to consult and distribute products that can reduce labor and assist in meeting ever increasing expectations.
